    Heres hoping for a miracle anyway.
    and this can't happen over 3 weeks? how long does this normally take? i would have thought it could happen fairly quickly (provided the rain stops)

    Default N2 Flooding

    The N2 between Wilderness and Sedgefield is closed. The long bridge before Sedgefield across Swartvlei is underwater and it's still raining. RCI resorts in the area are closed till further notice. Bang goes my fishing holiday.

    Andre you mentioned the Breede as well - how badly is it affected?

    I am not sure, I am trying to get info. Greyton and Hiedelburg are badly affected, as is Swellendam, which would tell me that the Breede would be inflood, but I have not heared any report of damage to the mouth or houses.

    It can happen fairly quickly if the rain and flooding stops, but if the prawn beds have been destroyed, there will be no food in the estuary to bring the fish back. The big question is around the recovery of the estuarine food sources.

    That looks really bad!! Eish!
    Around the steel no tortur'd worm shall twine, No blood of living insect stain my line;
    Let me, less cruel, cast feather'd hook, With pliant rod athwart the pebbled brook,
    Silent along the mazy margin stray, And with fur-wrought fly delude the prey
