    Default Double Mono weed guards

    Hi
To tie a double mono WG
Simply take a short pice of thick mono and bend it in half
put the "loop" under the hook shank and tie it on with the "legs" forming a v

I cant comment on how many fish you would hook vs having / not having the guard
But it makes up for any shortcoming by letting you to fish it longer and not waste time tying on new flies

also in flies where there is a crunchy sensation expected "prawns etc"
it may actualy fool the fish further by having the correct texture

    hope this helps

What ever you do never confuse Fishing With catching Fish !!!!
    Fish Are Friends Not Food

But your reasoning has a fatal flaw; it overlooks the fact that to comprehend it requires that one rub a few brain cells against each other. The heat thus generated produces the light that illuminates the fact, but alas, not everybody has the resource required to fuel the process --SG

    hey guys

thoseflies look great. two things I can mention... the prawn will have to be weighted to ensure it from riding hook up.

those fish feed in a dash and grab way, if I can put it like that. why not use a sircle hook?? then the fish will end up hooking themselves.

gona catch some of them myself this season

    Hi Clarias,

Just spin a blob of orange egg yarn onto a hook, in effect a Saltwater glo bug. If that doesn't work, soak it in the real McCoy over night, that will fool them buggers

    Cheers
