    Default Sally Hansen

Is there a way to get it a bit more "runny". This is the first time I have used it since it was not available where is used to live, but I find it a bit too think to use on the smaller flies, would like to know if there is a way to make it thinner without compromising the strength?

I'd try using a couple drops of nail polish remover, (acetone)

    Thumbs up

Rather apply the SH to your thread this way you could dictate the amount you want to use.And it could be used on very small flies.

I agree with Elize, the nail polish remover will thin it a bit and wont compromise the strenght
Fishing is just my thing. I don't know what it is but it seems that i just can't get enough of it.

I don't aggree with the nail polish remover because i've used it before. It will make it thinner allright but it looses it strenth and it becomes whitish.I had to chuck 2 bottles of Sally's.I was looking for somethng else and found nail glue.Stronger than super, clear in colour which will give u the same shiny effect than a varnish.

Coop nice idea with the thread.

If u do add it and doesn't become white, cool use it.But I've lost 2 bottles.Maybe I chucked in to much, end result = it lost it benefits.

Interesting that it turns white. Probably not a good idea then

I forgot to close mine the other day. Well it's hard as nails now

I like the thread idea. The varnish should soak up better into the thread making your whip finish much stronger.

I know from using the nail polish remover that there are stuff like moisteriser added. You need a pure thinners/acetone available from pharmacies.
