Nice Mark - that looks pretty sweet.
I'd just not use a circle hook but that is a personal choice.

HI Mark,
Those are outstanding, nearly too nice to use. Very well done.

Hi Dave, yeah I don't think I'll use it as a fishing pattern. I've tried them tied like that in the salt before and had very limited success. For a fishing pattern, substitute the mono legs with "suggestive" legs of supreme hair or slinky fibre. For fishing in grassy/snaggy areas, two mono legs are retained along with the softer "legs." The mono legs are then bent in such a way that they act as weedguards. What I have noticed, interestingly, is that one gets more bites when a chartreuse or orange hot-spot is incorporated "inside" the carapace - maybe it just mekes the fly easier to see, or maybe fish prefer a shrimp that had a recent meal?!
Most shrimps prawns etc swim forward and backwards.
The standard for moving is forward, swimming with a straight body.
When they try to escape, they switch on the turbo and put the body in reverse.
The body gets cocked in an downside up U, and then release the trigger, straightening the body, this thrusts the shrimp at a very fast pace away from danger.

Awesome fly Mark.
Have you considered that with the materials and subsequent epoxy being applied on the top of the hook shank mostly (from what I can see) might cause the fly to ride hook point up (ie : upside down) ? Not sure if the circle will have enough swing weight to keep the fly upright.
Worth working into refining the design imho ... which is bloody brilliant because it looks like a 5 minute fly yet it's very realistic. Well done.

Tried these a while back. Don't know if OMR has tried them yet.

HI there,
Your 3rd fly should be o.k., but my opinion regarding the others with materials extended way beyond the ''hook eye'', could and should cause these to twist pon retreive. My view.
