Went to Strydoms on Sunday and a tough day on the water.
Water was reasonably clear but I think that's because it was as skinny as a WC stream at 10cms and spent most of the day cleaning flies of rock snot.
Water felt cold and I think the wind the last few days also played it's part.
Let's hope we get some propper rain soon.

Went to a venue between Parys and Potch on Sunday.
Water temp 14, air temp 7.
I lasted an hour from 7 to 8 before I couldn't feel my fingers or toes.
Managed 3 muddies, largest around 1.5 kg.
My season has been opened and new rod and reel christened.

I am in JHB on bussiness from Thursday to Saterday afternoon.
I am trying to fit in a fishing session for Saturday morning.
any one out there that will be interested in an Saturday morning fishing session?
Or which venue do you guys suggest for a Saturday morning till about Lunch time?

I have been out manauvered by the family.
all sorts of meet and greets and lets get to know each other planned, with coffee and cakes etc. BUT NO ONE THINKS ABOUT ME and arrange for the family to go and catch some fish together.
