So, did the vaal flush a bit?

    Can I fish there again?

    Anyone from Parys maybe?

I have been fishing a bit at Eendekuil over the last month or so. Water is clean. The water levels are a bit high at the moment. I did bump into a couple of guys a few weeks back who were convinced that the water levels were what ever was being released from the barrage, this is not the case and the water level needs to be looked at here http://www.dwa.gov.za/Hydrology/Unve...aFlowInfo.aspx

Then check the level at Goose Bay

Today at 14:00 the level was 37.79 cumecs or cubic meters per second. Bit high for me but perhaps others think this is fishable?

Can anyone give feedback on state of Vaal around Parys currently. I used to fish the river often, but since living in the Lowveld fish it only every 3 or 4 years. I have an opportunity to fish it the end September long weekend, is it safe or should one stay out?

The further down from Parys you go the better the water gets quite quickly. Here around Potchefstroom it looks very good at the moment and there are loads of fat healthy yellowfish around.

If you can get down to somewhere like Oord Nebo it should be good.
