    Luckily "seed of chucky" evolved and improved into these. SOC was just the seed tied to a hook.

    This thread has inspired me to keep my eyes open for alternative materials. I discovered this in my garden this morning, a palm nut. It already has a natural groove in place for hook placement. I tossed it into the pool it sank like a like a DI 5. I liked the splat! Bottom feeding beetle immitation perhaps?

    Hmmmmm, interesting thread this!!!!! The NutBeetle fly is going to be a fish-taker!! Some peacock herl underbody, nut body, some legs of some sorts - BAM!!!

    Was working with Vannila pods today at work and they are very maliable and as they dry they go very stiff,now i cannot tie flies but surley could craft somthing from one of these,also smells nice http://content.answers.com/main/cont...lla_6beans.JPG

    #18 Emerger / Chironomid
