    Default Early winter damsels

    Hi guys

Going fishing early winter, June long weekend.
    Crystal Waters lodge near Lydenburg.

I was thinking of tying a few different damsel paterns for the trip:

    Red eyed damsels
    Filoplume damsels
    Bead eyed damsels

    etc.

    Dark olive, brown, and black.

Do you guys think that damsels will still be efective this time of the year?

Or do I need to focus on something else this time of the year?

Bright colours like Orange- Egg paterns and Orange woolly buggers - Is it still to early for this. I personaly think these will only be better later in the season.

I aslo find my dry flie selection a bit difficult because it seems this time of the year the major hatches seem to have passed.

What would your guys selection e of favourite early winter flies?

You know me, just busy trying to finalise a minor business deal...always welcome to share with the real guys. That's why I've got a bit of old materials I'm willing to share/contribute with the regulars - including you of course..

Can I phone you tomorrow through the day?

OMR fishes during the day and "works" after hours.

For a good time call OMR - He love you long time!

I find the brighter colours start working round about now - but you'll still pull fish on damsels.

    Serioooouuus now.
I know nothing about TROOT fishing. Why do the brighter colours start coming into their own? Would a bright orange wooly bugger work in a stillwater? If so, again WHY
