Even though we share a common passion for fly fishing the clubs mission and purpose statement could be different?

At least give our club a chance to revitalize itself morally, financially and from a stability point of view in achieving its growth strategy set for 2012 and beyond. Hereafter or in the mean time we can view options of working together in the future.

Looking forward to Gauteng North and any other club in vacinity being part of our growth strategy.

The club will be meeting on Tuesday, 6 March 12 at 19h00 and the topic is 'Constructing leaders for both Czech and French nymphing' and this event will be facilitated by Daniel.

We will also be raffling a club logo embroidered long sleeve fishing shirt. Tickets will be also be available for the grand prize of a 3 night, 5 bedroom, 10 sleeper, fishing weekend at Verlorenkloof in May 12...prize worth R10,000. Ticket value only R100.00.

The club is growing in numbers and so far 'serious fun' is being had by all.

The theme of last nights meeting was 'Construction of leaders for Czech and French Nymphing' and facilitated by one of the most enthusiastic fly fisherman and Fly Tyer known...none other than Daniel Factor.

Daniel did a sterling job once again and had the audience attention throughout the evening. As always he added much more value than was expected concerning tips and tricks to various combination of flies, fly tying, weighted sizes, use of indicators and much more [we cannot disclose to non members

]. For those that could not attend we will have a follow up at one of the outdoor events on this subject where one can have a one-on-one session with Daniel. The next session is on 24 Mar 12 at Eendekuil where members can put theory to practice. Detail to follow.

Six (6) new faces were welcomed to which the club is very thankful..visitors and new members indeed. The clubs membership is growing at a unexpected pace and at this rate we will probably need to change to a larger venue going forward.

The fishing shirt valued at R450.00 was won by a visitor. Congrats and enjoy.

The sale of raffle tickets for the grand prize of a 3 night stay at Verlorenkloof over the period 4 to 6 May 12 in a 5 bedroom self catering croft sleeping 10 people is doing well...there are still tickets available at R100.00 ea. Any one seeking tickets can contact me via the listed email or attend the next club event as a visitor to obtain.

New membership cards will be provided at the next meeting. Use your membership card to claim your discounts at selective fishing shops as members were informed last night.

So far everything is going as planned in alignment to our growth strategy.
