Was thinking might be a nice idea in black to imitate those small barble i keep seeing under my feet on the vaal
Hook: 2 xl shank.
Thread: 6/0 white.
Body: Pearl cactus chenille (med).and 1 extra-long grizzle feather.
Tail: 4x black/ white Grizzly feathers.
Eyes: 2 eyes of choice
Pic 1: Tie in materials with 2 tail feathers with dull side to the inside.
Pic 2: Tie in the other 2 tail feathers to complete the tail.
Pic 3: Wind crystal chenille from eye to just before the bend, catch in with thread and cut off excess.
Pic 4: Palmer large grizzly feather from eye as done with chenille.
Pic 5: Wind thread with wide turns back to eye through the palmered hackle, and be careful not to trap to much hackle. Build up a decent head, super-glue and also add dolls eyes.
Pic 6: Completed fly.

This fly in an assortment of colours is a bass killer. Fished on rocky drop-offs or rocky bottom using a int. or sinking DI3 is a bass taker.
Try it in black with the same black/white grizzly, that should do the trick. Good luck. It's an easy to tie fly so do in ass. colours.
