    Default Cracking Good Waders

I have an old pair of thigh waders - good ones, Aigles - which have cracked up in a couple of places. This is probably due to the dry Pretoria climate & their all to infrequent exposure to cold streams. Both of which also crack me up quite a bit. Is there any way I can repair the cracks - there are quite a few of them? Will silicone sealer work?

If you can get hold of Aquaseal, it is the best.

Around the cracks I would rough it up with a 220 grit sand paper.

    Apply Aquaseal.

For the larger/longer cracks. Do as above.
Cut a piece of stockings/ pantihouse from an old pair of your wife/girlfriend/ your own, that is slightly longer than the crack.

After applying the first layer of Aquaseal (very thin) press the cut piece of pantihouse in the Aquaseal. Apply a second layer of thin Aquaseal and let dry.

The nylon stocking/ pantihouse works as an reinforcement.

THis is also a very good method to repair waders with long tears
