I have made a little alteration or improvement to the fly.
Fishing it in certain light conditions, it is a bit more difficult to spot the fly.
Where previously I would take 4 of the same CDC feathers, I know take 3 of one color and the top one I replace with different color. White works well for the darker times of the day.
I have also tied some with a red/pink top feather. This has also made a difference in spotting the fly.
Most of the time it is not neccesary, but in the fading light, the white CDC helps a lot.
Because the top feather is laying ontop of the others it does not make a difference to the color the fish sees.
