Yes well I think there is some confusion regarding the interpretation of the EC Act.

I have it that you're not allowed to fish for LM unless you have a permit (I have my national fishing license) and you're not allowed to keep ANY LM under any circumstances.

What is the national fishing license? I got my License from Cape Nature at Jonkershoek and as far as I know I'm only covered to fish freshwater in the Western Cape. Have never heard of national license and thought al the provinces are supposed to have seperate licensing systems. Reason I'm asking is that such a license will be great - the same as salt water - one license to fish everywhere and I will definately buy it.
