About 2 years ago a group of us went from Phalaborwa all the way to Msuna Island in Zim on Tiger fishing safari...what a trip...eish...phuzad too many Bollingers..anyway...
One of the blokes caught a 20kg vundu, they decided to keep the fish and ask the camp cook to prepare it. Well, he cleaned the fish and took the long fillets and cut them into cubes or nuggets and cooked them in a simple batter.
Well, one of the best things I have chomped...the fish melted in your mouth and tasted awesome...the plate went around once and all the nuggets were hoovered...really lekker.

In Rhodesia whilst in the forces, a 7.62 copper jacketed "fly" caught a LS Yellow from the Sabi River in winter.
It tasted like nothing else ever eaten, done over the "burner",
especially after an extended patrol lead to 3 days with no rations left.
