yeah I really like it too...amazing what a subtle change can do, changes the whole rod.

I like the shape, size and finish of the custom made grip a lot more than the other. Dunno so much about the burl cork rings though. I like it plain because it lets one appreciate the real seat more. But that's just me It does look really awesome though.

I have the double locking rings on my Xplorer 5/6#, never had any problems,.......

Damn!! Missed out then. They are quite pricey, the AmTack ones.
I've seen a few rip-offs of this seat on other cheapie rods...but the quality is not great at all.

yep...but the ones i used are still $ 29.00 or so...the titanium and rosewood. The more pretty they are, the more they charge it seems (as with other pleasures in life too....... :d:d )
