Amdrew ( Schloss D1 ), Etienne ( ET1 ), Craig, and I spent a few days at my favourite small stream near Memel.
First Off I must take my hat off to Audrey and Chris , owners of the Memel Hotel. They are brilliant hosts, and Magda and Marie, ( the Barladies ) were just as good. Chris is also a f/f and organises trips for TROOT as well as s/m yellows around the area.
The Hotel was regraded on Friday and walked thieir Tourism Board 3 Star rating.
The fishing was tough, very tough.
In fact we all blanked over 2 days, but hey, that's fishing for you. There were sporadic rises this morning, but what the h* ll they were taking, only they would know.
A few pics of the weekend attached below.
It's not in the catching, it's in the learning something new.

Herman, thanks again for sharing this spot with us. I am looking really forward to exploring the full potential of this area. Here are a few more random pics

Good to see that you still enjoying the small streams.

    That water looks sooooo gooooood.

One day, we have to go there, together.
and maybe the fish will be more cooperative as well.

Korrie, that water is magnificent, and we have only just seen the tip of the Iceberg.
With the new contacts made over the weekend, we have a minimum of 3 other venues available.
We are going again in September, and I will PM the dates to you and those who were on the last trip towards the end of next week.

    Guys,

PM me next time you are going so I can take you to some good spots. The water on the Kommandospruit were much better this weekend, but I didnt get a chance to fish... unfortunately.

In a months time water will be awesome, with good clarity due to all the clear water flowing in now.

Its gonna be a good winter this year!! Do remember that the water will get green from all the slime in late winter, so it will become very difficult to see or catch fish.

Let me know and I can make a plan...
