    When fishing for Carp or Bass on the Vaal or any of it's tribs, please ensure your flies are tied on doubled up, non barbed, TREBLE hooks.

    Once landed a swift blow and then either cut it up for the barbel or give it to someone who would eat it.

    A good tip is not to debarb the hook, only to flatten the point of the barb, so that it forms a little hump. This really gives that extra hold and doesnt rip apart a fishes mouth when u take it out.
