SA Bass Magazine - "Whopping 1.59 kg LMB on Fly"

You can most certainly hammer big bass on fly - it works so well that some artlure bass comps actually ban fly fishing...

The big reason behind the bass record only being 1.59kg's is that you need to belong to a registered bass master chapter in SA, which costs a packet, and not all competitions or tournaments are official etc. Basically you cant just catch a big fish!

I'll bet if a group of 5 of us head to varsfontein on a quite day during the week that at least 3 of us will smash that record.
