    Default 3 X 2 Challenge

    Chris

Should we tell the guys about our challenge. I've taking the liberty of adding an enticing "2".

    3 rivers - 2 trout species - 1 day.

Mario this is easy for you but will take some doing in the Western Cape.

its doable! The damn brown will be the problem- after that all you need to do is go and fool a willing rainbow on wither side of the elandspad/smalblaar confluence...;-) Although somehow I have a feeling you guys would say thats cheating

You're right - the brown is the trick.

What about Upper Oliphants and the confluence of the Breede/Dwars/Witels?

It sounds good to me, like any challenge, one doesn't expect it to be too easy. Rainbows won't be a problem at all though. Can get one over a beer at Du Toits Kloof Hotel in 2 minutes.

My knees are groaning just at the thought of 3 rivers in 1 day :-)

Reminds me of a MacNab- the trout and guinea are usually not a problem- its the fleet footed ribbok that causes one to sweat!

How about 2 species of trout on one stream in one day, in one hundred paces?

The Willow, Rainbows bellow the waterfall, and Browns above it…

Or 5 species on one steam, LM, SM, Muddies, Barble and Carp, all on the same fly??
