Now here is another challenge that I for one would be keen to partake in on any Cape stream. 20 inch brown on a #20 dry! Any other takers?

The solution to any problem -- work, love, money, whatever -- is to go fishing, and the worse the problem, the longer the trip should be. --John Gierach
Sounds like the salmon fisher's 20x16 club - 20lb salmon on a size 16 dry or smaller.
"So here’s my point. Don’t go and get your ego all out of proportion because you can tie a fly and catch a fish that’s dumb enough to eat a car key.." - Louis Cahill - Gink and Gasoline
NZ by any chance??????
nope, I did say Cape waters Kev Has to be a dry fly....no droppers allowed, and must be witnessed and preferably photographed.
Suggestion: All who accept the challenge puts R20 in a kitty, payable to the first person who gets it right. Fish bigger than 20" count!

I nearly achieved this on the Witte - beat 3 a few years ago. There was a resident 20" brown in the pool below the weir at the end of beat 3. Tim rolston caught and measured the fish (20"). I hooked him on a black size 18 Klinkhammer but he broke me off
Slightly further back on the same beat I've been cleaned out by another big brown.
They do'nt always rise though.
Goog challenge Chris. Why not restrict tippet size to 6X as well?
Eish Chris- Ill put cash in but think Ill be giving it away! I doubt I'll ever have much chance of casting to too many 20 plus inch browns on the Witte and somehow dont think that the Witels will happen more than a couple times a season!
What the hell, Im in... I could never shy away from a challenge!
