This baitfish, smelt, glassy, fingerling is tied from Polar fibre.
It is quick almost one material fly.
The polar fibre is a tapered material which stays firm and holds it shape in the water, elimanating the pulsating effect. So your baitfish will hold its fish shape.
Polar fibre comes in various color, So you can tie a sand goby from the light olive etc.

It works very well in fresh water where there are lots of small fish. Very good for trout feeding on Stickle backs type of fish etc

Hook: Hanak H200 BL
Thread: White
3 strands of Crystal Flash
Fishient Polar Fibre

Wrapp thread onto hook shank and tie in Crystal Flash.
Stop a third to half way from hook eye.
Cut about a pencil thickness of polar fibre, remove the "underfur".
You will be left with about a third of a thickness of what you cut of.
Tie the Polar fibre in with the thinnest section forward.
Wrap thread forward to the hook eye.
Fold polar fibre back over wrapped section.
Make a couple of wraps in front of bend back polar fibre and tie off.

I now apply a couple of drops of head cement onto the front bend back section. This helps to hold the fibre in place, while I mix the epoxy and stick the eyes on.
Hold in place till dry.
Use permanent markers to color to choice.

Enjoy tying with artificial materials.
