    FLY: Olive Marabou Green Rockworm (Hydropsychidae)

    Materials:

    Hook: #8 Scud, heavy wire (Targus or Tiemco)
    Thread: Light Olive UTC #70 (8/0)
    Bead: 3.8mm Tungsten, gold
    Weight: 0.025" lead wire
    Rib: 4X tippet + Olive Krystal Flash, spun in a rope
    Abdomen: Medium Olive Marabou (strung)
    Thorax: Diamond Brite - Bronze Peacock
    Scudback: Strand of Lateral Scale, Pearl; Thin skin, Light Olive

    I can just see that marabou working under water. Very nice and easy to tie. My kinda fly.

    Real good lookning fly Mike.

    Not suprising that it worked. WOuld be nice to tie in different colours and see how that pans out.

    The only colours i would add to your selection Mike is Mustard (vaal magic - confidence) and a creamy yellow (worked like magic befoer on certain days).

    As for the rest, i am with you 100%.

    Will be tying some as soon as i can find the time between all the work i have been loaded with.

    Hope to finish it all including my class on friday and get out for some fishing.

    What a good pattern. I tied it on saturday for fishing on sunday and the first fish that was caught was a 2.5kg barbel.
    The second (and my first yellow for the season) was a 3Kg fish. Not a bad way to start the season...
    I did however use normal olive for the abdomen but it worked just as well.
