    Default Mussle Worm imitation

    Hi

An attempt to make an imitation for lazy fishermen
You just dangle this fly over a reef.

    HI Craig,

I think any reef or gully fish will eat that, nice fly.

    Hi
The chenille is furled together with the flash

If you catch with it, let me know. Am going to try it in Moz. in a few weeks.
Have some even crazier flies I have thought up

Can recommend some good books & DVD's :-)

Double up the chenille, so that what you have is double the length of the worm
Tie the center to the hook, tie in the flash for one side (start with front)
Twist the chenille a lot so that when you give it slack, it curles itself up.
tie off and do the back.

    Perhaps I should do a paint-by-numbers thingy?
    Regards
    Craig

Is'nt that exposed hook going to be a problem? I recal from R&S that we used to thread the worm onto the hook....was that just toe secure the worm or to hide the hook or both....I dont know!!!

I like this fly, super stuff! My only suggestion would be to try and vary the length of the actual "worm". You might find the fish will grab on to the very ends and miss the hook completely.
