They do look nice, especially the reels. Its strange that all the trout and salmon mags i have i cant recall ever noticing the brand.Well i probably just missed it because it is not a brand i know of.Yeah pretty pricey
I think it was Nicholas who a while back posed the question as to whether the Sage fixation was a South African thing or international.
I joined a UK Fly Fishing forum yesterday - and it seems that these rods are regarded by many of the members as being the ULTIMATE fly rods.
They are certainly not cheap - but do look really good.
Has anyone had any experience of this brand?

The Sage fixation is a South African thing. Overseas guys will fish with what they actually like...not just because of a brand name. I think there is a trend is S.A. to be "recognised" by certain fly fishers. The "if you dont fish Sage, youre nobody" kind of attitude. I think, its more a case of having blinkers on and a narrow mind. There are certainly rods out there which are just as good as Sage, and even better. (Sometimes at a price thats more affordable too).
These Bloke rods certainly look good.
I think, in S.A. people have really lost the plot when it comes to fly fishing, and what its actually all about. Its not about brand names, recognition, being the best in competition, or the general holier than thou attitides.
I say, open your minds, people.
Pretty pricey, maybe they should change to ''BROKE'' Fly Rods.

With these rods you'll be able to convert from "eletist snob" to "eletist bloke" ??
They look very nice though, but damn pricey..

maybe somebody know these, seem to be big in the UK. Like Orvis in the STATES, not stepping on any SAGE owners. Also got one. But there are some real good other rods out there.
AGREED!! ... so to go back to nicholas' original question .. it DOES rather seem the Sage-fixation is largely a South African thing!!
Another rod the pommies are only just discovering is the SCOTT!!!! ... which is what I have said all along!!
