Smallmouth Bass

Hey guys! This is my first post in the forums, and I'm hoping somebody can help. I'm looking for waters close to George where I can find some sizeable smallmouth bass. I'm not necessarily talking records or anything, but I fish a stream a few kilo's out of town sometimes, lots of fun, but the smallies are tiny, man. Any largemouth waters (fishable from the side) would also be appreciated. Also, the wife (SWAMBO!?) and I are planning a trip out to the Clanwilliam area end April. Any river sections reachable by sedan and fishable from the side over there? Fished the Doring near Uitspankraal years ago, and want to revisit the area, but this time without the assistance of 4x4. Is it worthwhile tackling the dams in the area from the side?(Still saving up for them float choobs, right..) Would like to make contact with someone who knows the area, and would like to share some info, or even a day on the river when we get there.. Cheers and tight lines..
