If u want a better idea of the fish i.t.o weight go have a look at Scythe's
17kg jobbie on the Small Streams Yellows thread and compare it to these.

And remember how much bigger I am than both of them

(Wade, in height and width ... David ... just in width )

Oh and I am 124Kgs, bring on the 6/0 and the 100lb line.

Nice fish gents, Wade ... does a muddy you jigged in the eye with an MSP really count ?

Just for interest, i have added two pics of muddies on odd fly's. 1 an MSP and 1 a Olive barbel bugger.

    Muchly appreciated.
    Nice fish wade!
About the muddies on odd flies I am not so sure if they really went for the flies. From the pics they both seem fowl hooked. Maybe they were just cruising inspecting some strange looking things and got klapped.

Still nice fish - well done.

    Well done guys, great fish!
I have to disagree, at least 86 and 94 stone....or at least the equivalent weight of 85 and 93 Quarts

    4th fish - around 16 - 18kg

PS.I hope you guys used heavy tippets !
    PPS. Love the hats guys

Nice one Dizzy Some quality chirps guys, definitely had me cracking a laugh.

I think we've come to the conclusion that they are "decent" and we'll never really know what they actually weigh, but one thing that is apparent is how the different style of photo can change the impression someone gets of a fish.

Fish 1 and 2 are the same fish. Fish 3 and 4 are the same fish. Fish 1/2 is bigger than fish 3/4. At least now I know how I'm going to pose next time I land a lunker barbel.

I'll be back there tomorrow and yes, there is some very heavy tackle going with me!!!

Wade/Dave I will send you okes a scale, now that's leke babers, now judging photos can be very misleading, 20lbs to Wade, it is not easy to etamate Dave's fish but say about 25lb would be my guess. the last baber I cought and weighed was about 12 years ago, so don't shoot me if I'am wrong.

Thanskf ro the infoarmtive gueses chaps.

Dave's fish was a bit bigger but i am still chuffed with these fish.

    With regard to the muddies.

The photos are a bit misleading, they were both in the corner of the mouth, you must take into account that the hooks are large barbel hooks. Besides, even from the photo's you can see they are in fron of the gill plate but the only reason i posted the muddies pics is because i took the hooks out of the mouth (not near the mouth). Just found it in interesting that they took these fly's.

    Thanks again for the coments
