What 12w line?

Hi Guys...im looking at a decent sinker for my 12w.will be using it for the snoek and if my stomach holds longfin etc.....

Must sink quickly etc etc.....rio leviathon or I think scythe mentioned a stealth depth finder line...

I own depth finders and leviathans they sink almost the same
The depth finders I own irritate me as the Weld between the head and Running line is not smooth and "bumps " through the guides
The running line of the depth finder is not a slick as the Rio (Liv or Deep Sea )
both will do you well for offshore id go for the Rio

The other option is Some lead core line or Rio T14 and running line
This is by far the most economical option if you dont mind the clanging of the join through the eyes and its sinks like a brick way better than the intergrated ones @ less than 1/2 the price

I'd go for lead core for the reasons mentioned by Damage. Also be sure you don't 'damage' yourself casting (or lobbing...) these in strong winds! Lead cores are also pretty impervious to jagged rocks and to accidental fish 'bites' (especially those of snoek when they're in a frenzy and attacking anything that moves)

havnt seen these leadcore lines here in cape town before....i supose it would be a special order in?

You can get them of several degrees of sophistication - for average snoeking off a boat you can buy lead core line in various lengths/weights usually a level line, and you chop off the length you want especially bearing in mind the rough sort of depth you want to fish it at. These lead cores are not things of beauty but they get down quick, dirty, cheap and do the job!

To be honest I'm not sure if/which shops would stock it in CT, maybe the local Forumers can help you here? If not I can source you some in Joeys if you don't have any joy lemme know?
