I fished on Chriss' sea hawk a couple of weekends ago, and they are a lot more comfortable than the arks.

They not bad for the price but the quality of material is not close to that of the Ark or Heron inflatables.I thnk using it on the Vall with all the rocks etc. it wont last too long.

What is the price of one of these Seahawks?

Just thinking in the line of price vs. quality.

Yes, good advice. The material is a fairly thin vinyl, and will not withstand scuffing on rocks. For a stillwater, it will be fine. The ARK is made from marine PVC, which is far stronger and durable.

Price +-R2000 @ Sportsmans Warehouse. Build quality is pretty good, although I will be adding some rubber armour to make it more puncture resistant. It's tougher than my v-boat though. Realistically it only seats 2 comfortably. Comes with carrybag, pump and oars. Rated up to 300kgs and weighs 19kgs. Transom can be attached for electric motor. I will be using it on large still waters only. (Although some dudes were catching snoek off Robin Island from one.)

I am VERY satisfied with mine .. have aleady taken it out to sea once ... I would NOT do that in an Ark. This summer intend using it (among other things) for Yellowtail of Cape Point, as well as Kob off Melkbos

If you fish stillwater this is ideal - but if you plan to fish the vaal and push or tow it over rocks, this is not the boat to do it, a friend of mine tried to pull his boat about 3 weeks back up hadida, and are sitting with two big rips were the rocks punctured it, I thought this material was some kind of ripstop but it's clean plastic when you look at the tear.
