    Hi Grant, Tim mentioned something about the flies but we forgot about it. But your flies worked well. We caught plenty of rainbows and browns from 3 to 4 lbs, all sight fishing. I'll post some more pics here when I get them.

    No problem at all taking Tim out - he's a good sport. My dad may be taking him out in the Waikato next week.
    Life is a series of trout missions with that numbing feeling in between...

    Awesome, its hard to believe fish that big can be found in a stream no much than the Elandspad in places.

    theres bigger fish than that in smaller rivers that smalblaar. in fact, in NZ, the biggest fish live in the headwaters of all the rivers, so very small streams and very big fish.

    When does Tim get back? Can't wait to hear about his trip. its a special year in new zealand

    Some of Tim's pics from our trip. Yes, he did catch all the fish! Actually he is a good fisherman so it was a pleasure spotting for him knowing he could deliver the cast.
