Flies for Blacktail, Galjoen, Wildeperd

I have tied the following flies and I hope they will get me into some Blacktail, Galjoen or Wildeperd at Struisbaai/Agulhas over the weekend. If anyone has advice on how to improve, please do not hesitate

I have the following hook sizes: 2/0, #2, #4, #6, #8, #12, #14

I fisrtly want to establish which pattern works. After that I will tie more of that fly in other sizes as well.

Any other patterns anyone would recommend? Maybe a few honeyholes in the area?

PM Conrad Botes, he has an article in the TCFF mag this month om blacktail on fly with a specific charlie he uses.

Nice flies anyway, chuck them and see what works.

I can vouch for conrad's "steve austin", blacktail can't resist that fly.

I have the TCFF August issue It is the fisrt thing on my shopping list every month. That was my inspiration for targeting the blacktail. I must still tie a few steve austins

No need.......I can sort of make out what you've done there. I've tied a few similar patters....used some olive fritz as body material. But ya...those ones you tied looks lekker!

Also don't forget Salty Buggers, in all sizes.
White bodies...with different tails...i.e. White, Chartreuse, Pink, Orange, Blue.
With a little crinkle flash in the tails.
Killer flies for ALL species!

Fishing for blacktail etc means fishing rocky and semi-rocky areas. What setup are you using? Do you fish weed gaurded flies as well, or only flies that flip over weedless due to dumbells or weights. What about fishing unweighted flies or even flies on weighted lines that are boyant.
