Default New CTS blank order - Anyone want to join in?

    Hi Guys

Placing another CTS order in the next week for some blanks. Anyone want to join in?

The order will be for "normal" production line of rods...so that the order can be shipped quickly. Any "out of the norm" blanks always delay the order. (i.e. a 2wt, 11 foot, 7 piece blank...is a special order and will delay the shipment. Which I don't want this time...I need some of the blanks urgently).

So, of the standard lines...these may be of interest to you:
    (Prices range from about NZ$ 275.00 (+/-R 1,620.00) to NZ$ 396.00 (+/-R 2,320.00 for the #14's etc).

would have loved to do another build Mike but this economy thing has hit me below the belt, so for a while, I can only read your posts and get my "wanabee rod build", "feel" from your stunning posts.
Behold the fisherman. he riseth early in the morning and disturbeth the whole household. mighty are his preperations. he goes forth full of hope and when the day is ended, he returneth smelling of strong drink and the truth is not with him. originator unknown.

Understandable Roland...plus these CTS blanks are not the cheapest (but of the best available, price is really justified and actually very reasonable considering the quality you get).
Economy seems to be picking up worldwide...let's hope!

Ah heck, CTS have changed the lineup again I see. So confusing for my small brain. Is the MX the equivalent of the Affinity One now Mike?
Life is a series of trout missions with that numbing feeling in between...

    Hi Kev

I think so yes. I'm waiting for them to give me the entire run-down of what's what. Their site is outdated too...they are in the process of updating it.
I'm keen to check out the MX and X though.

    Cheers

As you know, I have a 8' 2wt Affinity MX. Yesterday I finished a 8' 3wt Affinity One. Have'nt cast it yet but judging by the feel whilst swishing it around, it appears to be faster than the MX. Will give you feedback soon

If it's a 3wt, it would feel faster than the 2wt.
Maybe also because it's 6 section, makes it a little stiffer?

Seriously though...would be cool to hear your views on the MX vs the One.

    Hi Michael,

I would like to place a order with you but need some advise first. I would like to build a small river rod, # 2 or #3 8' or 7'6". Also a rod for tiger / saltwater estuary maybe # 8 or #9. Can you maybe advise me wich of the blanks will be the best.
