This adolescent female great white is "only" 4.3 meters long (+-900kg) and it was not washed up on the beach. According to the Sharks Board in Umhlanga it was caught in the nets off Zinkwazi and released - only to find its way back into the nets where it later died - It was sent to Mossel Bay after being requested for dissection & research by a British film crew filming in SA (Inside Natures Giants)

Also heard this one was killed in the nets. The sharks board really tried getting it back in the water, Apparently spend a few hours reviving, but unfortunately she did not make it. What a waste.
