Fast action, vs. slow action rods

Mike I hear you, but hence my question, isn't a fast action rod really just good for the Vaal and not really for longer lines like say casting out a full line? The slow action "rolls" the line out much more efficiently? Even a medium action "shoots" the line out rather than the old fashioned way. Or is it just me?

Try casting a 300grain Airflow depthfinder or 40+ in the salt or for tigers on a lake and see if the slow action rod works better than the fast action rod.
