    Thought so! Have you ever thought about simplifying and using a peacock thorax, flash and some uv knot sense...

    One of my favourite "afternoon" flies is a brassie style fly with the wire or rib dubbed fuzzle style in uv caelibaietis dubbing. Add a dark brown antron thorax and a flash collar and you're set. I fish it downstream very close to the surface as suggested by Korrie and it's a constant struggle reminding myself not to strike!

    I fished them in the past and they produced nicely. Nothing wrong with those. I think I like a lot of work instead.
