Just returned from 2 weeks fishing South Island and the info Korrie and Boerie have given is spot on.

October can be hectic as has been pointed out earlier and it'll be bloody cold.

Good luck, it's an amazing place.

Struggling to get them up mate...... one's up and that's as far as I got.
Bit of a problem with the uploading thingimajig on the forum I think.

There was a box that came up to contact the administrator and I did contact him.
It was Aussie time this morning (early SA Time) but I'm still buggered as to what needs to be done??

I'm on this photobucket site that I've used in the past and it's a bloody waste of time to be honest. Used to be really good right in the beginning, but unless you pay, it's as effective as tits on a bull.

No biggie fella's, just wanted to show some nice shots of NZ.

Ok......I've managed to add a few pictures to my album.
    http://www.flytalk.co.za/forum/album.php?albumid=54
Still a few that the album won't upload - anyone know how to downsize the pictures?
Would ultimately like to load them up to share.

In the meantime though, I've taken the link from Photobucket for these couple.

    Enjoy....

    Off and racing -
Crept up on a nice rainbow feeding in a tail of a riffle. Hooked him on a #16 non-descript weighted black nymph. Ended up chasing him across the river twice before releasing him.

Spot the two browns in skinny water in the forefront of this picture.
My wife was yelling instructions from the bridge, but the roar of the water drowned out everything and I scared the life out them as I approached. Doh!! You need X-ray vision and stealth for catching them!

there is a programme for resizing pics.
It is a free download from Microsoft.
Click on the "Image Resizer" for the down load.

    Hi Guys,
