    Hey Chaps,

Saw this topic, so I thought I'd share two baitfish patterns I tied last night.. once again, not the greatest camera shot..

Might do a little more snipping, but the camera does seem to make the fly look slightly bulkier..

Do you prefer to use circle hooks instead of the stingers?

It varies.. I usually like to tie with hooks which have a fairly wide gap. I opted for these circle hooks to prevent getting hooked up or snagged on rocks etc, but landed up tying in a weed guard anyway.

I'm gonna tie up a pattern tonight with a mustad carp hook. Looks a bit like the bass plastics hook. I like the bigger gap due to the bead sitting under the shank.. I hope the above circle hook baitfish patterns will work, considering I have used circle hooks.

Below are some baitfish I tied on different hooks and also using a different technique where one has to stack the mirror image fibres.

Some more baitfish profiles.. All worth a try for largies.. Two of them are stacked and the other is layered like the pattern in the TCFF...
