breede river is a loooooooooooooooooooooong river.which area you fishing?
Currently the Breederiver is fishing fantastic for bass. With bass tackle and a boat we caught 17 largemouths ,2 smallmouths and 2 barbel. The water temp. was 13degrees.Yes i know it was heavy tackle and not fly gear, but the reason for this post is how shallow and aggresive the fish was.To think even the barbel was active.Start up that tubes and wait until thursday and the river will be at its best.

Yes, as mentioned, the Breede is a very long river.
Upper Breede, Worcester area, Robertson, Bonnievale, Swellendam, Malgas?????

Worcester area, but cold weather is coming so no fishing for a while now. A croc with a motor is a better bet with the current flows.

@Korrie - Can you explain that to me please: Summer's coming so naturally it's going to get hot, why does lots of rain result in no fishing for a couple weeks on the Breede? I'm here to learn
I think if you look at Korries post, it was made on the 09 07, the 9th of July. At that time, summer was definatly not comming, and rain at that time of year....no fishing the Breede, due to high flows etc... as was the case in July of this year. But, now, it should be perfect.
