Default Rod turning motor and V block

    Hi Guys

I have come back to rod building after a lay-off of several years. If anyone knows where I can buy V Blocks to hold and turn rods, either new or second hand, and rod finishing motors, I would greatly appreciate info. I know where to order it overseas but time and tide etc. And local is mos lekker.

    Thanks a lot

Easiest is to make it yourself. And use old microwave oven motors for the drying motors. Turns at 5 rpm, perfect. Your local repair shop should have loads of them.
Then to make all the goods you need, is pretty simple.

Locally, no-one sells rod building equipment like rod drying stands/motors or rod stands.

Craig at Stream X had rod building supplies in stock, including a drying motor.
