If you're going to claim a "technically" on the mossie versus hippo issue, then "technically" you're also wrong.

The mossie does sweet bugger all besides make you itch a little... The four different protozoa parasites (small single celled animals) actually responsible for causing malaria, genus Plasmodium, are however another issue all together.

basic taxonomy Michael. All living things are divided into two kingdoms, animals and vegetables. From the smallest single celled amoeba, to the Elephant, all are animals.
Mammals, insects reptiles, fish, birds etc, are all classes of animals....
remember ...grade 4, I think it was?
No I would never tell you a dolphin is a fish, its a reptile....

test your general knowledge, lets see who knows.
A tick riding on the back of a cheetah?...

Seriously I think the dragonfly is the fastest insect under normal conditions (i.e. having all it's own six legs attached...) - maybe pull two of these legs off for less weight and extra streamlining??...

Then the fastest-moving insect on two legs would be a flea riding on the back of a spine-tailed swift?

a couple of sharp people here,
Normally you catch them out the the insect on 4 legs.

Liked the one about a tick on a cheetah.

Other diseases spread by mosquito, that are more severe than malaria
Dengue, chikungunya to name a few. Hope that you don't get them.
