anyone know where I can get craft yarn close to Cape Town CBD...? For tying Merkins.
Thanks

I hop its the Merkin crab fly pattern you going to make, and no the original item that the merkin crab was named after......

Don't go knocking on Death's door, ring the bell and run like hell. He hates it. (anon)
Nymphing, adds depth to your fly fishing.
Nymphing, is fly fishing in another dimension

The right yarn is Aunt Lydia's Sparkle Yarn - or simply Sparkle Yarn. It is marketed by Wapsi and Hareline but there is absolutely no stock at any shop in Cape Town.
Maybe try the JHB shops and let me know if you manage to track some down.
There is a BIG wool shop in Voortrekker Road - Goodwood. They might be able to sort you out. In fact, I'll pop in there sometime this week. If you go there, ask for Antron or Tri-Lobal wool..... It's something like that. The problem with normal wool is that it's not rigid/coarse enough.
