    Seems the Lakies fish aren't too fussy;-)

    Anyone ever tried live bait? Slide small carp fingerlings...

    After the last stocking there were tons of fingerlings around, fished them on a light drop shot rig with circle hooks. One through the mouth seemed to work perfectly

    Taylor, do you slide your fingerlings with circle through the top lip or through the back? I'm keen to keep them alive as long as possible else the crabs get them.

    Maddy - I am all out of them at the moment - It's nothing really special but it won me 2 of my sessions at B nationals - 1 river and 1 at lakies. After that my team raided my box and i have none left.

    I'll tie some up later and post a pic.

    Tail: Black Marabou with mono loop as tail guard
    Tag: Glo Brite Floss - #11
    Body: Hends Flash Blend - Blue/Black
    Hackle: Black Hen
    Weight: 3.5mm tungsten tied on top of the shank with .60 Mono melted into a ball to stop the bead sliding off.

    Just make sure the fingerlings are sterile....
