LM Trip to Chrisvd's private waters.

After seeing pic's of LM yellows from Chris's private waters I decided it was time to seriously go after these monsters.
I contacted a bunch of people who I thought might like to join.
The group is now "full", and I'm soooo glad there are experienced LM "catchers" amongst them, apart from our guides of course

F/f on the trip are: Barend, his dad, Barend's buddy, Ettiene, Craig, Bryan, Deon, myself & Jan ( bank angling ).

My leave got approved today, so it's departure at around 0100 on the 12th to get there arond 0600.

Damn, but am I amped for this trip, even more so than the Douglas trip of a few years ago.

Herman, team 3 [Barend, Hugo and my dad Gawie] cannot wait; I am already like a small kid the night before xmas...

I am tying up a storm; here are some of the newest GoTo flies for the trip.

I am also setting up a tying session with Murray and will add some new, different patterns to the arsenal this year.

Come August come...

Our leave is approved and we will be in Chris's valley the Thursday already; to be well rested for the long weekend of hard fishing, and obviously some drinking

We might be staying with Klaas the Thursday or alternatively at the 1st campsite - to be confirmed.

Barend, don't forget our our "agreement". For every fly you tie for yourself " Go Toes " you tie 1 for me. For every Speetkop I tie for myself, I tiw one for you.

P.S. We must arrange for me to give you all the eyes, as well as squirrel tail that I have and will never use.

Hi Bryan/ Herman and the rest of the Largemouth Crew

Really struggled to Concentrate on work last week after all the pics of those largies, and wow what a barbel, wouldn't mind hooking into one of those, Been having sleepless nights thinking of the Upgrade in tackle for THE Trip. Cant wait!!!! Really excited and looking forward to it.
