    Default Bait Fish Pattern

    Hello All...

Here is a baitfish I tied up for my up and coming fooshing trip...

Let me know what you guys think...

Step 1 - Attach Lead Wire to Hook shank...note the foam on hook point, I did that after loosing a pint of blood from all the holes in my fingers...eeeiiisshhh

Step 2 - Anchor the lead wire with thread

Step 3 - Tie in White Fibre for tail and belly portion

Step 4 - Tie rest of Belly and Sides in White SF Blend

Step 5 - Tie in Copper coloured Wing 'n Flash to represent Lateral Line

Step 6 - Tie in Light brown and Brown blend for top sections of body

Step 7 - Tie in Red Flash on Sides (representing bleeding etc), tie in Brush for Head.

Step 8 - Brush the fly and trim

Step 9 - Glue on Eyes and carry out final trimming...

There is Shammers attempt at a bait fish...roll on Tigers

What ever you do never confuse Fishing With catching Fish !!!!

Like the idea of the little cork goodie over the hook point.

I am constantly either poking holes in my fingers or snapping off my thread just as I get into the groove with my wraps

I got gatvol of destroying my finger tips...so I took the foam cover from my scissor and used that ...those hooks are super sharp...

    Hi there

T(r)ied a similar pattern over the weekend for saltwater.

Your fly is very nicely tied. If I may make a suggestion - if you intend fishing for tigers with this fly I would strongly suggest that you add some epoxy from the hook eye to just over the eyes. Without that the eyes will not last more than one or two hits from a tiger, and with the hookup rate on tigers being what it is you might wreck 3 or 4 flies before you bring one to the net.

    Cheers

Nice tie JMSP! That'll smack a tiger.
Tie more, but put some more gold flash in it, maybe even more of a red throat/collar...reckon the tigers love it.
