Hi Guys
Does a 4wt 10' have a place other than in the rod tube for SA conditions?
Can it be used as a nymphing rod on the vaal or is it too light?
I can imagine that it can be used to nicely on still waters.
1 foot more at least
Yes, it would make a great addition to the arsenal. It is great for yellows, great for nymphing the streams, and great for stillwaters, expecially offa boat. If it's a good rod, it will do anything that you need a 5 or 6wt to do, only it will do it all better. Go for it.

unfortunately I missed it. it was a winston B3x that was on auction. missed it by seconds arg! would've cost less than a stealth infinity too. sigh. there will be another one soon.
I personally see no use for a 4wt, I find it too heavy for the streams and too light for Stillwaters.
Dont fish much for yellows so cant comment there!

thanks for the opinions guys... I really need to go to the vaal with some of you guys who have experience and upskill myself. (sad to say I've never been)
reckon I'm going to make the 10' a future build project... my birthday is a day away might need to arrange a present from me to me.
