Nymphing taper lines are usually designed to turn over a leader with multiple flies, indicator, splitshot, etc. and often have a fatter brightly coloured tip which floats quite well.

I can't speak for the Airflo but I have the Rio Nymph Taper line and have fished it for a full season and am very very happy with it. It has almost zero memory, is very supple, the tip floats well and it fishes great at both short and long distance.

Not to sure on the nymph taper, but I fish the ridge ultra supple floater and intermediate on my 5 weights. Awesome lines those! Also fish a ridge ultra supple on my 3wt and have been very happy with it.
