Default Anyone been to lakenvlei recently

    Hi guys,

Pretty new to the site and loving it. crikey I don't know where it's been all my life. I don't usually have an internet connection so I've been living in the Dark Ages for some time. Apparently there's this new thing called Facebook? Nah just kidding, got that one covered.

So I thought I'd try the forum out and ask if anyone had been to Lakenvlei recently? Checked all the posts, but unless I haven't quite got the hang of this most of them seem to be pretty old (reports on Lakenvlei that is).

I know the weather's been a bit crud lately but I'm starting to get that familiar winter tick, the one that comes with staring out the window from the bench and seeing wind and rain. So it's about time I put on the oilskins and headed out.

Speaking of the bench, spent some time working with Mink Fur. Tied a stimulater/Sedge style dry that I think has potential, will stick it up soon enough.

    Look forward to some feedback

    Hi Tops,

Welcome to the forum. The search button on here is your biggest friend and usually the answer to your question has already been covered (in detail ) on an earlier thread.

For example there is thread decidate purely to Lakensvlei reports back right here. And if there isn't a recent posting to a similar thread just revive the old one....

Hope you dont take this as an "uit***"

    Enjoy!

Mielie bom mixed with minced earthworms are my personal favorite.
Sometimes a bit of chopped bacon in the mix does the trick, when it starts going slow.

I think no innocent species of wit or pleasantry should be suppressed; and that a good pun may be admitted among the smaller excellencies of lively conversation.
