    Default Baby Hopper

    ok so here goes...

    materials:
    hook: grip emerger size 16
body: yellow foam cut to 2-3mm
wing case: here is used organza. also use golden pheasant tips
    dubbing: holo tan
    back legs: medium tarantula knotted
front legs: small tarantula orange black
    thread: any colour 14/0

    step 1
put hook in vice and lay thread foundation

    step 2
cut foam and position on hook. abdomen is a hook length off the back of the hook and dub body

    step 3
knot and add the back legs

    step 4
tie down foam 2/3 way up hook and wrap forward to eye compressing the foam as you go

    step 5
dub a thorax and tie wingcase down on top of dubbing - helps keep it from sticking straight up

    step 6
tie in front legs and dub over thorax

    final step
pull foam back over thorax (do not pull it tight, leave it loose to keep the buoyancy of the foam), whip finish and trim excess foam, legs and thread.

gary had his chance to smash some fish on it his weekend but he rejected because of his illness (a cold) haha
Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he will sit in a boat and drink beer all day
