Arrow Matching the hatch - Articulated "Fin" Minnows.

    Dressing:

Back hook: TMC 9395 #6 cut to exactly 1cm from end to hook eye.
    Thread: Uni fine monofilament.
Tail: Steve Farrar blend (3cm). Colour of choice.
    Articulation: 29lb wire.

    Front hook: TMC 9395 #4.
    Weight: 4mm Real Eyes.
    Weedguard: 32lb Fluorocarbon.
Belly: Steve Farrar blend or Mirror Image. It depends on the pattern. Colour of choice.
Wing: Steve Farrar blend. Colour of choice.
Collar / Head / Overwing: Polar fibre brush. Colour of choice.
Eyes: 3D Silver glued with Epoxy.

Slightly different to the other Articulated Minnows I tied previously. These are sparser, shorter and smaller. I have added dumbell eyes for a little weight and the bend of the back hook is cut off. Material wise, I've incorporated Polar fibre to finish of the heads. You should see these flies perform in the swimming pool. At one stage I thought the cat was going to jump in and grab one.

    Banded Tilapia.(Male)

Juvenile Barbel / Murky water fly.

    Baby LM Bass.

    Southernmouth Brooder.(Female)

Ridiculous!! Id love to see a pic of all of your boxes... all 286,847,583,274,528 of them.
    Around the steel no tortur'd worm shall twine, No blood of living insect stain my line;
Let me, less cruel, cast feather'd hook, With pliant rod athwart the pebbled brook,
Silent along the mazy margin stray, And with fur-wrought fly delude the prey

Ek dink almal Korrie, maar die barbel, brooder en al die barbs sal die beste wees en in besonder die somer three spotted barb, daai oukie is baie, baie realisties getie! Dit lyk bitter baie soos die outjies wat ons hier kry.
