    Default Painting Rod Blanks

I have been trying to research how to paint a rod blank, some guys say with a spraygun and car paint while others say by adding dye to the epoxy, can anyone offer some advice how they do it or is it not adviseable to try paint rod blanks?

There is rod spray paint at mudhole:

They can't ship it OS but there is some useful info there.
The highest form of existence is play.

    Hi Mark

I don't like spray-painting blanks myself, but E.T. (Koos) has done it with success. PM him, he will be able to give you some good advice.

    Cheers

What have you tried so far?
What do you think would work best?

I am preprogrammed and can only respond to the right questions...

I have found for my style using a high quality enamel paint (Hammerite) thinned out with turps to the desired viscosity, then using a quill type pen, steady hand and lots of practice you can get it done. Once writing is completed allow time to dry completely like 24hrs the coat with epoxy.
