After many many many trips to the Vaal, I finally caught my 10 pounder. (10.12lbs to be exact)

What a great experience!

She took off like lightning, upstream. Within seconds the fly line was gone. Then another ten odd meters of backing. The line then stood still in the water while more line kept running of the reel. Snagged around a rock... I though that is the end of the fight as I shuffled (with a heck of a speed) toward the rock. Somehow managed to get the line free and the fish still attached to the small size 16 custom fly. After another few minutes I managed to get the fish in a quite eddy and with the help of a mate with a bigger net, landed the fish I've been waiting for.

Cheers
